The Form I-751 needs to be filed within the 90-day period before your temporary green card expires.
You can include your child in your I-751 form if your child received a green card at the same time as you or within 90 days of your green card's issuance date.
If the green card issuance date exceeds 90 days from the parent's green card start date indicated on the front side, in that case, the I-751 form for the child must be filed separately.
You retain the right to work and travel for up to 48 months from the expiration date listed on the front side of your expired green card. To do this, you will need to provide the USCIS receipt notice for the I-751 form along with your expired green card.
For more details on extension, please refer to the USCIS website.
There is no single list of documents. Provide copies of as many supporting documents as possible (joint: photos, utility bill receipts, bank statements, rental or mortgage contracts, car insurance, tickets, hotel reservations, children's birth certificates, and more).
We provide our clients with a checklist of the necessary supporting evidence.
Yes, you can apply for a green card renewal. To do so, you must submit a complete set of evidence of a bona fide marriage, as well as copies of the final divorce decree from the court and a letter waiving the joint filing requirement. Once all documents are submitted, USCIS will review your application and make a decision.
